can i replace in a textfile all " through "" ?

What do you mean exactly by " through "" ? The construction seems unusual. I do not get the meaning of it.

Here is another way to do it using the ANSI value for Quotes(&quot.

text = Replace(text, chr(34), chr(34) & chr(34))

It will make your code easier to read.
