I need to replace an "*" that is in the middle of a field,

Field1
1106356*01
1344106987 01
1107661*01
1108210*01
5461108474*01
1108474*02
11208474*03
1108474*04
6789*05
18808581*01
1109097*01
1109541*01

Since the * appears in different places, I am not able to concatenate. Could some one please help me with this.
Thanks in advance

Could you please let me know where you are using the command. I tried it as a simple find and replace and then again as a command function, and it still did not work.

Both in SQL and in VBA.
