Hi All,
How do you perform a repair on the installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console Option?? I did a help in console and could not find anything that would do a repair. Thanks for your help

Thanks Linney, but it does not tell you how to do a repair for say the boot files gets bad. I looked it over and over and it does not tell you how. Thanks

This might help you a little more. Using an example "Fixboot". When you are in Recovery Console. For information about a specific command, type "Help commandname" at the command prompt, and then press ENTER. That in this case would mean "Help Fixboot". If I remember correctly you would then get a half page display about how to use this command. I think you can get the same result by "Fixboot /?" also. Because of its nature Recovery Console is a rarely used program. For a list of all the commands in Recovery Console type "Help" at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
Furthermore you can get a detailed list of all the commands and use of each individual command from the Help and Support program of XP. Just look under Recovery Console. Hope this helps a little.
