Does anyone know the equivalent of a command line for the Repair Installation button? Due to some Control Panel "security", some of my users cannot get to the Systems Management icon but I have allowed a C:\> from time to time. I basically want to be able to tell them to enter a command at a C prompt that does the same thing as the Repair button.

There is a Repair Installation button under the Components tab inside of the SMS Control Panel icon. Clicking that button seems to "force" the PC to go back to the SMS server and resinstall the client. I was wanting to know if that can be duplicated at a C:prompt. Is there a command-line option that will force the PC to reinstall its core components and agents?

afaik the repair button only forces the client to install again. so you can use your capinst.exe in the \sms\client\i386 directory.

type capinst /? for available options.

Are you giving me SMS2003 advice or 2.0? I was looking for 2.0 commands.
