Reorder Parameters in "Enter Parameter Values" Box

Once several parameter fields have already been created in Crystal, they appear to show in the list at the top of the "Enter Parameter Values" box in the order that they were created. Is there any way to change the order without removing and then recreating the paramter fields in the preferred order?

You did not say what version of Crystal you are using, but in v8.5, edit the paramter field, go to set default values, and highlight the value that you want to change the order of. There is a set of small up and down arrow buttons, which move the value - you guessed it - up or down.

I am not sure how this works on older versions, but I seem to remember this at least back to v6.

I believe you are referring to the drop down lists you can create and then see down in the middle of the "Enter Parameter Values" box. To edit the contents of the drop down lists I would go to the default values and edit there as you suggested.

I'm using 8.5 Pro. The list of parameters I was referring to was when you refresh the report, the box pops up asking if you want to use existing values or prompt for new values. If I choose to enter new values, then the "Enter Parameter Values" box appears with the white rectangle at the top listing the names of the parameter fields I have created in the report. Those are the ones I would like to reorder.

Unfortunately I think you've already answered your own question. I don't think there is a way to re-order the prompts once they've been created.

OK, now I understand.

Click on insert, field object, paramter field and you will see a list of paramter fields in your report. Highlight one and the same logic applies, use the little up/down arrows to reorder your parameters.

Ignore my last reply I've just found how to do it in Version 9.

Select the parameter in the field explorer, right mouse click and use the move parameter up or down option.
