I need a phantom mailbox set up that will go to VM immediatly without ringing an extension. When I try to renumber adjunct 710 to, say, 39, it does not take. The typed value (39) disappears and it is still asking me for new adjunct number. Any ideas why I can't renumber this adjunct?

for a 2 digit system you can renum to,
adjuncts try 6993 to 6999
767 to 769

write it down so you can remember what you did
use any of those to use so the you can use any 2 digits

When you have time - run a "Print All" report - so you can see what is numbered to what. A wise move would still be to renumber all extentions to setup space and then renumbering again using blocks from setup space to the extention range you want to use (like maybe starting at 100 or 500, etc.). Just remember to also go into voicemail, system parameters and change the maximum extention length from the default of 2-digits to whatever the number of digits will be in your chosen dial plan.
