This is my report as it appears in Crystal Reports preview. Very pretty, yes?

This is how it appears when delivered via Crystal Server, emailed as a PDF. See how it's messed up? The text is all screwy, parts getting lopped off. Lines are also wrapping far before they've encountered the natural bounds of their boxes.

Here's a close-up of the problem.

Has anybody ever encountered this sort of thing before? If so, what's the solution? Very annoying when WYSIWIG act as WYSI-NOT-WYG.

Make sure the default printer on the server is the same as the printer on the PC where the report was designed.

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Aw, man! I had that option clicked "optimize for screen display" under printers. I checked that months ago. I did the latest service pack patch and that sucker must have gotten unclicked. GRRR!! All good now. Thanks!

As Ido mentioned, it's likely the printer differs, which isn't a Crystal thing, it's the way Windows works, or perhaps during development you did not select a printer.

This sort of thing can also occur if you do not have the same fonts available.

Another possibility would be that CR has a Service Pack, and CE (Crystal Server) does not.

I use Arial on all my reports to avoid that problem. The report is fixed now. Thanks for the suggestions!
