I created a make table query. I now want the resultant table to have a different name and renaming the query doesn't work. Also, I know how to rename a table, but that won't change the fact that everytime I run the query, it will give me the original name. Where can I go to change the name of the table that the query creates, or will I just have to redo the query?

Thanks in advance for any help.

With the query in design view go to the Query menu in the menu bar.

You see that the MakeTable item is highlighted.

It's a crazy thing to do, I know, but select that line item AGAIN.

It then comes up with that little dialog box that allows you to define the name of the new table.

Crazy? perhaps. In the zany world of Ms, not only are all things possible, most as possible in a multitude of ways. An alterantive to the "Crazy" is to just bring up the properties of the make table query. in the list of properties, is the destination table name - just type in what ever you want within the limits of the naming convention.
