Can I rename a Primary Key column in MySql?

Probably, unless you have foreign keys referencing it, then I'm doubtful.

Thanks, Eric. Since posting this, I gather from Kevin Yank's book on php and mysql that naming columns is the same as CHANGE COLUMN only you don't apply the new properties. But I have yet to try it. Cheers
