Before i go ahead and do this, i wanted to confirm that renaming a user's account and mailbox (after marriage) would not cause problems. The alternative would be to create new user account and mailbox and move the mailbox to the new account.

Correct?

I think you will have to delete the NT account and create a new one. As for the Exchange account you can change the name, but remember to edit the email addresses and change the Primary NT Account to the new one

You can safely rename an account, also remeber to change the e-mail address.

Hope this helps

There's no need to create a new NT account. If you rename the NT account, Exchange will recognize the change. We have 1500 employees and 1400 are women, so I change names on a regular basis. I change the display name and the last name field, make a note in the Phone/Notes page of what they were formerly known as and then do the same thing in user manager for domains. I don't change the email address, but if they ask, I will add a new address. This way their old email address is still good.
