Renamed fields in field explorer not updating field name in report

Guys
Using V9 and SQL.

This is probably a stupid question but ... why is it that when I rename the fields in field explorer that it is not updating the field names in the report?

What have I done that I should not have?

Are you trying to rename the database fields or some other field? I am using CR 8.5 with SQL 2000 and as soon as I rename a formula field it reflects the changes in the report. Please provide some more information.

That is exactly what I am trying to do .. it works fine in my v8.5 but not in v9.

If I change the name of a formula field it does not reflect the name change in the report layout itself but does recognise any difference made in the actual formula itself.

Any ideas?

Sorry I havent used v9 so I wont be able to help you. Sounds like it could be one of your settings, maybe you can check your report options and options.

Try re-posting it as a V9 question. (I only know 8.5, where rename has always worked fine.)
