I am using some stored procedure from reports. I have fields from that
stored procedures on my report. I wrote new stored procedure which has
same fields. Can I somehow rename existing procedure because if I
remove it than all fields from report are removed?

I have CR IX.

Just go into Database - Set Data Source location

Highlight Store Procedure in Current Data source window

Open database in Replace with window and highlight New SP,

Click on Update Button

If you click + on SP in Current Data Source you will see that it has retained original name as alias, but is now using your new SP.

If you want to change alias go to Datebase - Database Expert
Double click SP Alias Name so that it become editable and simply over write with correct SP name.

I tried that but when I press Close after Update I get message "Not suported" and nothing is changed.

In that case I guess your only resort is to recompile the OLD Procedure with a new name, and recompile the New Procedure with the old procedure name.

Thus the report should detect the new fields either when you try to run report or do a Verification
