In a new job, I have inherited two 3300s. I am fairly new to Mitel admin so apologise if this is too vague.

Before I arrived, an E1 trunk was removed from one of the 3300s and attached to the other. The programming remains on the original 3300. I am getting errors on this 3300 because of this. How do I go about removing this programming? Which forms and in which order do I do this?

many thanks

Remove Dialed digits that are pointing to the route that the trunks were in.
Remove the route if it is part of a list.
Remove the route itself.
Remove the trunkgroup.
Set all trunks busy
Clear the trunks.
Clear the link describtor.
Clear/delete the framer
remove the programmed module.

a slight shortcut for above (if you want to keep digits and routing intact.

Create a new Trunk group
Switch routes from old group to new group

Then:
Remove the old trunkgroup.
Set all trunks busy
Clear the trunks.
Clear the link describtor.
Clear/delete the framer
remove the programmed module

Guys,

Thanks for the help so far.

On this 3300 I have one trunk group all the routing is done through. The trunk I am trying to delete is part of the the trunk group along with one other trunk.

Instead of

Create a new Trunk group
Switch routes from old group to new group

Could I not simply remove the obsolete trunk from the trunk group?

You can add the new trunks to the group and remove the old, but after that clean up by removing them as they might be taken out of service, hence you get alarms for trunks you don't want anyway.
