Removing shading from all Word Style

Hi,

I have OCRed a scaned doc into Word, that went well.

However for all the text it has created a style with a shading of white.

I can manaully remove the shading easily enough, but every block of text has its own style so it would take a while.

How do I modify all the styles in one go?

Chose [Format] and then [Styles and Formatting].

You can then change the offending style, or just delete it.

Another option is [Ctrl]A to get the entire document and then set everything to [Normal] on the Style menu. Depending on your version of Word, you may also get a [Clear Formatting] as the first style option.

I tried both those techniques before I posted, but they don't do what I need.

What I want to be able to do is to change all the Styles to have no shading - there is a different Style for each block of text, so doing it manually will be tedious.

The attribute is accessed by:
Modify Style, Borders and Shading, Shading then choosing No Fill

Why not do a Ctrl +A (select all) and then just go to Format pull-down, borders & shading, then no fill. That wouldn't change your font styles or sizes, just the shading.
