Does anyone know how to delete searchbars in internet explorer? i got this searchbar called rkieecrdsso on my computer and i can't find it or delete it. rite now the only way to not see is to uncheck it under view>>toolbars.

thanks for your help, it doesn't show up when i load explorer but i checked it and it's still there. As long as it doesn't come back it's all good.

I would still follow carrr's advice and run spybot. If that is there you probably have other junk loaded on your PC and some of it is very nasty.

yeah I ran it and it worked great. plus i got rid of other stuff.

yeah i need help with the same thing. i have a search bar and i tried searching on it once and it took me to the site and its called meta-search by startium. I have been editing my registry and running adware and spybot all day and its still here. What do i do and where are the toolbar files located so i can delete this nasty thing!?!??!?

Surely you've checked Add/Remove Programs in your COntrol Panel? Also, there is often an uninstall option on View > Tollbars. If not, you've tried doing a thorough registry search for "meta-search" and "startium," deleting entries as they're found?

When's the last time you downloaded updated definition files for SpyBot?
