I have an extra "WIN XP" entry in the multi boot menu that obviously goes nowhere. This occured when I changed the partition XP was in and had to reinstall the O/S.I have read how to remove them(entries/references to, that is) if you eliminate one O/S entirely, but nothing on removing an EXTRA one.
Any idea on a remove fix for the invalid entry?

Hi Jimi_l

I think I can help you. Open your command prompt and use the command: bootcfg /?

This command gives you an owerviev over the different possibilities to change your boot sequence.

good luck.

Thanks,
Actually I found it also in the control panel(std view)>system>advanced>startup and recovery. You can edit the BOOT.INI file from there.

You can also edit c:\boot.ini .
