I have an SV8300 and am trying to set a phone so that the secretary can monitor her boss's line. I have set up the boss's line but can't find the parameter to allow the secretary to drop in on the call after she has left the conference.
I want to be able to do this without requiring the boss to press a release button as he doesn't have line of site view of his secretary when she needs to get back into the call. This is only going to be for the boss and secretary and they are the only two people with the shared extension.

Thanks for anyone's help.

It wasn't set, but is now.

I am not seeking to make it boss/secretary relation ship where all call to the bosses "my Line" ring on her phone first and she answers and then presses the line again. I'm just looking for a way that the bosses extension that only appears on the secretary's phone can be picked up to monitor and take notes.

I thought I needed to put the put the Cass b parameter on the phone to restrict and didn't need to do anything to the secretary's phone.

This is the first time that I have had this request.

There is a privacy release option, but the boss needs to release privacy before the secretary can barge in.

So I guess you are saying that there is no full time sharing?

Thanks for your assistance, regardless.

Peace

Rey

This would, i believe, actually be illegal under privacy laws in my neck of the woods! Heck there are even restrictions on how long I can monitor a line with a buttinski! Check your local laws before proceeding!
