I have set up phantom phones lines many times and these lines are not tied to any port on the phones system. I can set them up as forward or twin. The twin allows them to see the actual caller ID and the forward only lets them see the office main nummber. If I push the no answer out on the twin the cell phone I'm twinning to will pick up the voicemail before the office extension voicemail. I'm being asked to get rid of some analog phones that are physically connected to ports and if I disconnect the phones they go directly to voicemail. I really don't want to disassociate these extensions with their ports because then there would be no association with the physical phone lines to the biscuits. Any ideas on how to twin these lines so the users can still see the incoming call number?

First, you can forward and send the original caller ID. Create a new ARS table, and have the entry be
N; / Dial3K1 / NSSi / LineGroup
Put a chortcode on the phantom user of 9N / Dial / N / ARS, and forward the phantom to 91xxxyyyzzzz

Check the box for Twin when Logged Out and give the phantom a login code in User > Telephony > Supervisor Settings

The phantom does NOT need to be tied to any physical port

Mobile Answer Guard timer will prevent the call from going to the cell phone's voicemail if it answers within the guard time, usually meaning the cell is turned off or doesn't have service
