I have an hunt group and need to remove some of the numbers in the group. The ext numbers are not on handset, but are attaced to a remote access server. I am new to PBX administation, and I have no idea what load or what actions to take to edit a hunt group. Thank you.

Marc

In order to add or remove an extn number from a group hunt list you need to know the list number (LSNO)and the store entry number (STOR within the list. You will need to use this procedure if you get a SCH8825 message when changing a TN.
You can get this information by printing the Group Hunt Lists in overlay LD 20.
REQ PRT
TYPE GHT
LSNO (c/r for all the lists or enter the list no)
Check the print out to obtain the correct information.

The changes are made in LD 18.

REQ CHG
TYPE GHT
LSNO (enter the list number which requires changing this is the GHLN from the above print out)
SIZE (c/r)
WRT (c/r)
STOR enter the store number concerned then space then the extentsion (DN) number
STOR XX YYYY for example
WRT (c/r) Yes to update the list.
To remove an entry at the STOR prompt
STOR enter the store number, space(c/r)
STOR XX space bar
WRT (c/r)
Carriage return through to the REQ prompt.

When trying to get the list no(LSNO) I hit (c/r) to get all the lists on the system. That only returns:

REQ: Prt
TYPE: GHT
LSNO

SCH0443

Print the DN in LD 20. That will give you the TN. Print the TNB in LD 20 and look at the HUNT prompt.
LD 20
REQ: PRT
TYPE: DNB
DN (put in the ext number)
Carriage return through the rest. Note the TN, then:

REQ: PRT
TYPE: TNB
TN: (put in the TN that you got from the printout above)
Carriage return through the rest. Lookat the HUNT prompt. That'll tell you where this port hunts to.

that SCH tells you that there are no GHT lists built on your system..

do you use PLDN's for your huntgroup

Its on number on a remote access server that rolls to other numbers also dedicated to the RAS. I'm trying to find how they are set up.

REQ:

If I can interject, it appears that you have a group of analog lines that roll from one to the next on a Remote Access Server modem bank. In this case, follow the same steps you did above, but change the DN to the number that appears as HUNT; 3035 listed above. You will probably see another display, similar to the last, with a name of RAS 2. This will have the 3035 DN and a new HUNT. Continue this until you have all the numbers in the hunt list, and then you can remove, or OUT, what is no longer required.

If you do that, don't forget to remove the number in the HUNT field of the last entry.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

I have them circle in the modem bank I.E 3390 is the main access, it "hunts" to 3035 RAS 3 -> 3036 RAS4 -> 3037 RAS5 -> 3391 RAS6 -> 3038 RAS 7 -> 3042 RAS8 -> 3032 RAS2 -> 3039 RAS3039 -> 3590 SVR2 -> 3390 main access, I need to drop numbers 3037, 3038, 3039, and 3042, and change the hunt number in the ones I keep to close the loop back to the main access number.

chg hunt on 3036 to 3391
chg hunt on 3391 to 3032
chg hunt on 3032 to 3059

thats it.
