I added an NPA instead of an NXX on my Option11 (yes Newbie)

How can I go about removing the NPA?

I tried (LD90)
out
0
net
ac1
npa
827 (area code that should have been a prefix)
<cr>

i then got another NPA prompt and CR'ed thru that. tehn I tried adding the NXX

ld 90
new
0
NET
AC1
NXX
827 and get ESN072 error.

I could really use some help. thanks Guys!!

The ESN0072 Error means that the specified NXX already exists... You may want to do a NXX print out and make sure that the NXX does not exist alreay.

LD 90
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
type NXX

This should list all the NXX...
Hope this helps.

That error code says the NXX already exists. I may be pointing to the wrong RLI.

First print a good local NXX to check the RLI
then print the NXX in question to see what the RLI of that one is and change it if necessary.

prt, then change, then print

err esn072 NPA, NXX, etc., specified, already exists... if the nxx does not print, try the 8

prt
0
net
ac1
nxx
8

I printed the NXX (827) and I get error ESN073

then I tried
prt
0
net
ac1
nxx
8

and all my 8xx NXX numbers showed up but no 827.

Sorry for my ignorace but is there something I am missing?

I mastakenly added 827 as an NPA (receptionist said are code then the next day said she meant prefix)

so it is an NPA that I cannot out, as well as being an NXX tha i Need to add.

i wish, i did that in LD 90 and got ESN071 at the NPA prompt

any other ideas?

Ok it worked - sorry. i guess it takes some time to clear the NPA out? cuz when I went to add the NXX this morning it worked perfectly

Thank you very much everyone!!!

G

Maybe you've initially typed the NPA as 827 instead of 1827 ...
