Do you know how I can remove items from the Add/Remove menu in the control panel. I want user to be unaware that certain programs are installed.
Thanks in aadvance.

One method would be to remove the uninstall entry for your app from the registry.
You can find the individual entries under the following key:

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall

Delete the key pertaining to the application you want to hide from the Add/Remove programs dialog.

You may want to export and save the info in a .REG file prior to deleting in case you want to allow the user to uninstall the app at a later date.

There is a freeware program you can do this with. It makes editing the registry much easier. It is called x-setup. Go to xteq.com if you want to find out more about it.

gpedit.msc is the easiest way to put rights on windows 2000 computers.
