Removing inbox icon from windows

I have recently installed Outlook 97 on my PC. It has not removed the old inbox icon. Is there a way to remove it through registry settings, etc.???

I think you can remove it through

Control Panel / Add Remove Programs / Windows Setup

and untick the Windows Messaging box.

And click OK.

I am running windows 98 which I forgot to mention, which does not come with windows messaging therefore I cannot remove it.
Any other suggestions?

On the Outlook 97 CD look in the Valupack\patch for a file called Chnginbx.exe It will change the Inbox to Outlook.
