Apologies as I have very limited knowledge in this, only what I have managed to teach myself. But my boss has asked me to disable a user in our offices ability to put their phone on speaker.

I have tried cls hfd but get a class service error.

Below is the ld20 output for the phone. Any ideas on how I could be able to do this would be really appreciated.

Go into LD 32 and type in IDU 007 0 00 04. I think the TN might actually be a 2616 phone?. If this is the case, then you need to remove the TN as a 2216 and rebuild it as a 2616 phone.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks a tonne - It was a 2616 so I rebuilt it and managed to get the hfd loaded - He is still able to put it directly on speaker instead of picking up the handset though when he is starting calls. Is there a setting to stop this? Maybe a headset function that I need to turn off?

Short of dismantling the phone and disconnecting the wires to the speaker, you are out of luck. You could get your boss to politely ask this person not to use their speaker as it disturbs the rest of the work environment, but that would have to be the same rule for everyone.

In the cls list hfd should do it on the TN of the phone. This is assuming that there isn't something between the phone and the headset that is providing audio, such as a recorder. According to the list Hands Free is Denied. HFA should turn it off.
