I have a network with mixed versions of Windows, most common/popular ones being 2000 and XP. My issue is I do not know how to block the users from playing games on the local computers. If i try to delete the exe files or dlls from the program files folder they automatically recreate themselves.. I realize this must me a feature of that folder cuz it doesn't happen anywhere else.

How do i remove the Games that come with the OS from the computers permanently?

Assuming you have Active Directory up and running and the workstations you want to restrict games from running on are members of that Active Directory Domain, create(or modify) a workstation group policy and enable Software Restrictions, once enabled, drill further down inside Software Restrictions to "Additional Rules" and create a new path rule targeting the specific executable and disallowing its access.

For Windows XP(should be somewhat similar in 2000) Go into Add-Remove Programs in control panel and go into
Add-Remove Windows Components, Select Accessories and Utilities from the list and then click on Details, Uncheck the Games icon and then o.k your way out, it should uninstall the Games
