Removing Expansion System

Hi Guys,

We are planing to remove one of the expansion system that is currently connected to the Server Edition. The plan is to make this expansion system as standalone.

What is the process to do this? Do we need to re-create the sd card after removing it from the primary server edition?

Hi Pepp77,

Thanks for the reply. I removed the expansion system from the SE but I can see when I re-open the config, it says "Expansion System - IP 500V2" still.

How to change it back to standard edition?

Is the reformat SD card from IP office is different from Erase Config (Default)?

You should be able to do File->Advanced->Initial configuration to redo the expansion from expansion to standard IPO.

The problem here is I can't extract the xml file is the systems is in expansion.

The License Migration from Tools is grayed out.

Thanks, I tried and a pop up window saying "The system configuration will be extensively modefied and converted as per ICU option selection". Is it okay to proceed with this?

is this will erase also the licenses and IP address assigned on the IP Office PBX?

The licenses are usually stored on primary server and not in the expansion. You can swap a few to the SD card with PLDS tool. You will need essential edition license additionally.

What we did is to erase config and resetup from fresh.

Tried running the initial configuration but wont allow me to select the standard mode.
