If it's AD integrated, you still need to wait to make sure all records are replicated to the new DNS servers before removing DNS from the legacy boxes.
You then need to update DHCP to point to the new DNS servers.
You then need to reconfigure all resources (servers, printers, etc) that have the DNS servers statically assigned.
