Removing AD from exchange2000 server.

Removing AD from exchange2000 server.
I have 3 AD servers. The only Exchange2000 server is the AD global catalog server. Is it OK to remove AD from this exchange server. Will exchange still work after a reboot?

No. Exchange 2K needs AD.

I know exchange needs AD, but exchange can be installed on a member server which is part of an AD domain. If I remove AD from my exchange server will exchange use my other two AD servers or do I have to do a disaster recovery of exchange onto a fresh member server?

if you have other DC's, no problem. I was just saying that you can't remove AD completely.
