Removing a nested MC

I have created a movie clip inside my main scene (one level below). I would like to
remove it and place it two levels below. I don't know how to change the instance without
changing the original symbol.

if I am reading this correctly, you have an instance of a movie clip residing within the "_root" level of your flash movie, and you want to move it inside another movieclip which also resides within the "_root" level? If that is the case, all you need to do is delete it and drag another instance of the mc into the mc you want it in. (cut and paste will work too) if you are using any actionscripting to initiate any interactivity within the mc, you will want to revisit it to make sure and update any target references. (for instance, if you are moving mc "movieA" from "_root" into mc "movieB", any targets which used to read "_root.movieA" will now read "_root.movieB.movieA&quot
