Removing a drop shadow in AI9

This maybe a stupid easy question but how do you remove a drop shadow in Illustrator 9?

Is the drop shadow on text? I take it you cant undo it

Had a quick look around and the only thing i can think of is to delete your layer, i know it seems a bit drastic but thatts all i can think of, maybe someone else could help bit more

Yeah I saved it before I came to the thought that a drop shadow would not print well on a buiness card. Oh well its only text and pretty easy to remake. Thanks anyway.

If the shadow was applied in illustrator originally, just goto the appearance pallette and click the "Clear Appearance" button at the bottom. Then reapply any fill, stroke, etc. you want.
You can also just drag the dropshadow effect out of the appearance palette its trash, but its not always visible.
