I encountered problems after installing xp sp2. It left me with windows firewall that will not let me access any of the controls "due to an unspecified problem" Tried to uninstall sp2, won't let me do that either. I believe I would be OK if I could remove it somehow? Could you please keep it somewhat simple because I'm not in the same league as all you pro's... Thanks

Have simply tried turning it off? Or the better solution would be to set up the exceptions you need and leave the firewall on.

due to the botched sp2 uninstall I can do absouletly nothing with it. ON off eceptions etc.I did view a post by auger 282 thread779-1166325 which looks like a can do some registry changes but I'm a little unclear on the procedure.
