Hi! I have spent time programming an InterTel Axxess sytem, so understand many of the concepts. But I am mainly a computer networking guy, so this is my first experience programming a Partner system.
System:
Partner Plus R4.1
Mail VS R3
Cabinet (Left to Right):
206e - 400e - Processor - Voice Mail
It is a shared office with two separate businesses on the system. Main business has 3 lines ringing in to AA (Grp 7). My client is subletting an office, and wants his Line to ring to his extension (14). If unanswered, needs to be picked up by Answering Device in office (4 rings), instead of by system voice Mail.
I've removed the Line from Group 7 (#206)
Have it ringing in to Ext 14 using (#208).
Have set VMS Cover Rings (#117) to 9 - expecting that this would prevent VM from picking up, and allow time for the external TAD to pickup. The Line rings in to the extension, but after _4_ rings goes back to AA. I assume this is because the call is 'confused' so gets sent to Ext10, then to AA (since there is no receptionist).
I have not yet deleted the mailbox for Ext 14.
Is there a way to have the system ring an extension indefinitely, without further processing? Or should I just tell the client he has to use system voice mail?
Appreciate any help you can provide!
-Dave
