remove users and logins from server

Hi All

I would like to remove unnecessary users and logins from one of the servers. But i am afraid if any of the application or process may be still using that login. Is there any way that we can confirm that the application is not using the login anymore

Do a Select INTO from SysLogins to a user created table. Then delete a login.

Do this one at a time and allow a few days between each delete, though, so you know what login does what job/app.

xp_LoginInfo gives generic info and if you right click on the Login in EM, you can export a generic text list that tells you server permissions, default DB, etc.
