Remove the "right" column for web parts 1

Trying to figure out if it's possible to remove the "right" column that contains web parts for 1 site in my sharepoint hierarchy. In other words, I just want the nav on the left and the "left" column for web parts to take up the entire page. I found some stuff on M$'s website, but it seemed to require SharePoint Designer which I don't have (and have no intrest in purchasing). Anyone know how to do it?

Edit Page - on the left add web part click and add them all in the column desired. The page should have a left middle and right add web part.

Which version of SharePoint? If you have Frontpage, it can be done there.
