Does anyone know what registry keys need to be modified to remove a particular protocol from a network adapter. E.G. uncheck TCPIPv6. I found some of them, but when I go to the network settings the box is still checked off.

That does not work with Vista. I should have made that clear before. I just want to uncheck the box. I do not want to un/install the protocol.

Linney,

I have read that article. I used that as a launching pad for my script. Unfortunately, it does not show how to remove the actual protocol from the adapter. My script takes care of everything else.

You are correct, uninstalling is not an option in Vista, you have to edit the registry and tell it to turn off.

The test continues...
