A few weeks ago, our Exchange 2k system crashed. We were able to migrate the mailboxes to a new server using the EXMERGE tool, but did not consider the public folders. With the original Exchange server now gone, the user's clients (mixed Outlook XP and Outlook 2k3) still contain references to the now non-existant public folders. An attempt to delete them from Outlook results in the error 'Unable to delete...there is a configuration problem on the server'.

Is there any way to force deletetion from the clients?

I think you only option here is to create a new Outlook Profile.

Have a look at the shop @ !

I removed the existing profile and created a new one with a different name. I then configured my Exchange account, the old folders are still visible. Any other things to try?
