Hello all,

OS: Windows NT 4.0 Server
SMS 2.0

How is it possible to remove the Logon Points from all PDCs and BDCs. What are the steps. The smslogon directory should be deleted, too.

Thanks for help,

David

In Admin Console:
1. Expand Site Database for primary site
2. Expand Site Hierarchy
3. Expand primary site
4. Expand Site Settings
5. Select Client Installation Methods
6. Right click Windows Networking Logon Client Installation
7. Uncheck Enable Windows Networking Logon Client Installation

After some time (my experience is about an hour) this should clean everything off the DC. I've only worked with SMS 2 on W2K servers, but it should be the same for NT.

Are you closing down SMS for the domain or rebuilding the site?

Thanks for help!

I will close down it!

Your way was succesfull, but on some servers I have to remove it manually, do you now a way how to do this, too?

Thanks again,

David
