We were recently infected with the Klez virus. Most of the NAV's were up to date. However, now I have 2 files in network folders that NAV says are infected with klez, but the files cannot be deleted or quarantined. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You say the files are in "Network Folders".
If you mean they are in folders that are being shared on a network then they may be open by some other computer.

I would make sure NAV is current on the computer hosting the infected files. Physically disconnect from network, ie disconnect the ethernet cable. Reboot and run a full scan with the clean or cure or whatever NAV calls the option to correct the damage of the virus.

If this doesn't work then try booting to safe mode and repeat. If it still doesn't work, try download a standalone Klez cleaner tool from Symantec or one of the other major Anti-virus sites.

Thanks for the help. I think I finally got it. What a pain.

CAN'T START ENGINE(ADAPTEC)..HOW TO GET RID OF IT TO RUN PROGRAM..SHOW ME HOW TO WITH MACAFEE

HIDRS,

Has this got to do with Klez? Or are you using EasyCD Creator on Windows XP? If so, get the update from Roxio to make it XP-compatible.

This has nothing to do with McAfee.

... take my advice, I don't use it anyway!
