Does anyone have any idea if there is a way to physically force remove (and possibly reinstate) an FME via MMI?

This would be very helpful when testing for faults.

You can easily remove it by moving the extension to another equ and move it back. But reinitiating it is not possible by MML, you need to call the operator to do it for you.//patcher

If I want to remove or initiate a FME I set up an MDN of the extension on my extension. Then by selecting the MDN you can initiate FME or remove it easily.

I know that is not via MML but it does the job.

Hope that is usefull

Nice ideas from both of you.

But I was wondering if there was a way of forcing a change in HEX, as when I want to use it it could be to remove or initiate an FME in London, whilst I'm based in Glasgow.

The far end will never be on the same MD110 as me, so MDN can't be used.

Have you tryed to use DISA to access the actual phone
and change the FME ?

Hi all

DISA: You can't use procedures concerning diversion (not in BC9 anyway)

From BC10 there is a type of extension that can be controlled from MMI: Generic Extension with command GEPEI.

yes i agree youcan easily do it finish the extension
and create it again in the same equ...
you can log a file and send it again when to create the
old astatus again

The best way to do this is using Mobile Extension feature of BC11. You can dial into MD and have access to manual intervention programming features. Better still use Mobile Extension while you are on the move!!

Maybe you can program a hot key (spexi) with the follow-me and sending an hardware signal using the signal generator to emulate an activation on the speaker key
