I am at the last stages of migrating to exchange 2003. I have installed exchange 2k3 on a new server moved all the mailboxes over with no issues.
I have followed the instructions on msexchangeinfo.org as well as other sites. I have some issues before i remove the first exchange 2000 server from the domain.
Last weekend I moved the RUS and Offline address book to the new server. I then removed the old server from the SMTP connector as a bridge. I also changed the private IP of the old server and change the new server to the old servers IP. I updated all DNS records for the domain to point to the new server. Once that was done I could not send out emails. I kept getting NDR messages about it being stuck in a loop and the message bounced between servers.
What did i do wrong. Must i rebuild RUS on the new server? Should I wait to change the IP addresses?
I also have several different connectors from the old server that are not used anymore. Will these be removed when i removed exchange 2000 or do I need to remove them manually?
I really need to get old server out ASAP. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Robert
