We use a Definity system. I just realized someone who has a login at our switch has assigned himself a DID number which routes to his extension. How can I remove this DID or stop it from going to his extension? I've been our organization's telephony admin for two years, but never received any training. I've been able to accomplish most tasks from documentation but have not been able to find an answer for this. Thanks in advance for the help!!

list extension-type XXXX where XXXX is the DID number in question. That will tell you if the DID has been created as a station, vdn, whatever. Then delete it.

The number is a VDN number. Maybe I wasn't clear at first. I don't want to get rid of the number, I just don't want it to ring at an extension.

try "disp vdn XXXXX" , then display the vector that it is routing to, which is probably his extension.
