Hi all - in version 97 of Access one could remove a custom input mask by finding the wztool80.mde file.... I'm trying to find the equivalent of that in Access 2000 and Access XP. There is an acwztool.mde file, but it has no information on input masks. Extensive search of microsoft's knowledge base is returning zip... anyone know how to remove a custom input mask created in Version 2000? (Am hoping it will also be the same for XP).

I am guessing here as I have never used Custom input masks, but normal input masks are stored in the property page of a textbox or similar and deleting from the Property page will remove it from the form.
Also check the table to ensure that there is no special formatting being applied there

You need to open the table in design view, find the field that the input mask is on, and delete whatever is in 'input mask'

Thanks for the answer, but that's NOT what I'm talking about!! I understand that at the field and/or table level an input mask can easily be removed. However - the wizard itself has a feature that allows you to add new input mask wizards that are then avaialable to ALL future access files. This is where we have custom input masks that are no longer desired. Anyone???

(If you click into the input mask wizard, there's an option to edit existing ones, including an ADD asterisk... but no delete option...)
