I have inherited a db that has a form with 8 check boxes for selection. These check box fields are Yes/No results and I can not change them. All 8 boxes are surrounded with a rectangular box and they were not created with the Options tool. What I need to do is create code that will cause the user to be able to check only one box (similar to an option box). How would I go about this effort?

I thought of making a new Option box, but the values are 1-8 and not Yes/No. I am not able to change the field to text or number as this field results create other results on reports.

Just learning and appreciate all the help you all provide through this forum.

It sounds like you want to use radio buttons instead of check boxes.

I can change them into option buttons but is there a control to change so that only one out of the eight can be selected?
