My guess would be that it is hard forwarded at the set. You may want to go look! Or do a trace in LD 80.

How would I trace it? The set is on another site several miles away so I'd rather not travel because the user has done something daft if I can avoid it.

LD 80 at the . enter trac 104 0 2 11 and look at key 19, if it's forwarded, it will say forward activated

Or ask the user if their phone says forwarded, that's usually a tell tale sign.

I assume that means it's not forwarded?
So why is the user claiming it is?

do a live trace and put a call in - trace all 3 phones and see

use

ld 80

entc 104 0 2 11 0010 - this will enable the reace for 10 mins

then do

gotr

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Is this phone active (can they get dial tone) and does the extension appear on any other phone? It could also be forwarded in an IDC table before it gets to the phone when the number comes into the PBX. Calling the extension from the same site would prove that immediately.
