I already am setup so i can dial into get messages remotely but I would like to be able to dial in and run short codes like to set a huntgroup into night service and a number of there things. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Just create a new module in VMPro use tranfer option to transfer it to a shortcode from the Manager.

Or you can create a menu for the transfer options.

If using R5 VM Pro look at the generic action then in it's specific tab "Select generic command" then "change user or group configuration", it explains itself from there :)

Just don't use * or # in the shortcodes from the ipo itself.
Indeed some shortcode won't work right, but this one will.

So i have to create a menu option in a IVR that transfers to each shortcode. that means for each huntgroup i have i will have to create a menu option?

Yes, and a shortcode to act on :)

Sorry, you already mentioned creating the shortcodes, it isn't much work to be honest :)

since i cant put a * or a # in the code i use with the menu i am going to have to hardcode a short code for each huntgroup right?

Yep, you need to fing a gap in your extn plan and if you don't use 9 for outside calls a gap in you local numbering too, I would use say 850-899 for my site as there are no numbers internal or local that would be dialled and accidently match that range :)

It can be possible:

Create 2 virtual users/extensions (H323)
Say DayService(3011) and NightService(3010)
Add the those users to all the HuntGroups, make sure they are unticked.
Create 2 shortcodes

Night Service
Code: 3000
Feat: Set HuntGroup Night service
TelN: (leave it blank)

Day Service
Code: 3001
Feat: Clear HuntGroup Night service
TelN: (leave it blank)

Now Forward the user 3011 to 3001 and 3010 to 3000

Then make a menu in VMPro option 1 transfers to 3011 and option 2 tranfsers to 3010.

I hope you can follow.

By adding the virtual users into all HG and leaving the SC teln blank it will turn on/off the night/day service of all the HG it a member of.

Ok well my shortcode for set huntgroup night serive is *20*N# can i transfer to that from a wildcard menu? and have it feed the number you dial in to N in the shortcode?

That means you are transferring to a * shortcode, as we said that can be troublesome, you can try but it may fail :)

Just create two new ones;

3000/Set HuntGroup Night service/HuntGroup number

and

3000/Clear HuntGroup Night service/HuntGroup number

But BAS i have a large quanity of Huntgroups so i would have build those two for everyone

Then read my post above again. 2 menu options for all groups you have. Short is not possible.
