remotely trougbleshooting error codes

i am new with this whole .net system and i am trying to get my computer at home to be able to work on my aspx pages but i cannot read the error codes from here.only if i go to the server will it show what the error is.i know this is probably a stupid question with an easy fix and i am sorry but i just cant figure it out.
