I am using Unicentre tng remote control option to remotely install remote control option on windows nt workstations so that I can connect to the workstations from my server, the thing is after installation to the workstations the workstations need to be rebooted in order for me to see them on my browse list. How can I remotely reboot the systems from my tng server or probably from my windows nt server with out having to go to each workstation and reboot.

Have you tried using the SDO option ? we have the wake on Lan feature. Where in you need a LAN Card also which has this feature.
Hope this helps.

I looked at the software delivery option but did not see a wake up on lan feature. walk me through locating that feature.

Hello,

SDO uses WOL by default. Note that it works only on LAN as it uses a broadcasts.
To reboot a workstation remotely you can use shutdown.exe from NT Resource Kit.

There are two methods of remotely shutting down your NT
clients following InoculateIT installation.
1) use NT's own shutdown command e.g. from DOS prompt
type the following: shutdown /C /R /Y \\computername-or-IP.
(/R=reboot; /C=force all running apps to
close; /Y=answers "Yes" to every prompts).

2) Modify your remoteInstall config file (icf)
to enable "reboot after install". (from RemoteInstall
interface, open your config file, browse to SilentInstall,
Reboot, and select "YES", save). Run your Remoteinstall as
usual every one of the clients will reboot upon complettion.

GoodLuck.

Thanks the second method worked and the first comes in handy to know
