Does anyone know the best way to connect to OSX from Windows XP remotely other than VNC? VNC is kind of slow and scaling is not great. Anyone else has any idea? I don't mind paying for the solution as long as it is way better than VNC. I also tried Microsoft Remote Desktop Client for Mac but apparently it only works from OSX to Windows and not Windows to OSX.
Any suggestions?

I am the network admin so noone is going to shut me out.

If you are truly your network admin then this whole thread does not make sense. I can not imagine a network person that would think that VNC is an ideal route for sorting images this way. If no one else is there to 'shut you out', maybe common sense would. [bigsmile]

A firewire card for your PC would cost no more than $50 and solve a wealth of issues.

You should try checking the Bridge and Bridge Scripting forums. There may be a way to deal with this in a totally different way. VNC just seems too awkward.

Good luck [thumbsup]

I don't think VNC is an ideal route, but there is no other way to connect to my Mac at home.
I would have to buy FireWire card and Photoshop CS2, not for my OWN PC but for work. I don't want to do that.

I don't understand. Is this for work? Why wouldn't your employer provide you with the tools that you need?

no it is not for work. I want to use it at work but it is not for work. So if I wanted to buy a FireWire card and Photoshop CS, I would have to install it on work machine and I don't want to add stuff to work machine

Aha...

So this 3 day discussion is only for goofing off at work.
