I am using a couple IP Office 500 V2 systems. I can connect to them locally with the programming software, but struggle to see how I can when on a VPN to site. Is there a way to specify which IP address to search?

I can find the IP and subnet under discover in the manager software, but this is not editable?

I would like to include the IP range of the VPNed site in there to find the remote system CCU?

Is this possible?

I would prefer to do it this way than using the web management.

Thanks.

In Manager, File > Preferences... > Discovery
Enter the IP addresses of the system, separated by a semicolon and space

192.168.1.200; 192.168.12.14

Now when you click File > Open Configuration with the Unit/Broadcast Address set to 255.255.255.255 you should see all of the systems.

You can always change the Unit/Broadcast Address to show just the control unit you are interested in, and then click on Refresh to see just the one unit.

Hi, from the Manager help:

File > Preferences > Discovery
These settings affect the Select IP Office menu used by Manager to discovery systems.

IP Search Criteria: This section is used to enter TCP addresses to be used for the TCP discovery process. Individual addresses can be entered separated by semi-colons, for example 135.164.180.170; 135.164.180.175. Address ranges can be specified using dashes, for example 135.64.180.170 - 135.64.180.175.

I hope i have been helpful

Thanks Both.

I managed to get it working, I can't alter the top field where there are 3 discovery groups, but could click on one and alter it in the box below.

I just changed the local subnet to the remote subnet, but did it as 192.168.16.100-192.168.16.100, just the single IP of the system. It then finds it immediately rather than searching through the range. Wondering if it would find it with just the single IP.....will try.

Cheers.
