Remote Worker No Sound 2

I'm working on getting a remote worker setup on a IP Office 500 V2. I've got the phone registered and the extension is logged in. I can see the buttons and everything functions on the phone except for one problem - there is no sound (incoming or outgoing).

Here's what I've done so far:

- Forwarded ports 1719 (UDP) and 1720 (TCP) and RTP ports listed in the IP Office
- Enabled ICMP on the public IP
- Turned off 801.q
- Enabled remote worker on the user
- Enabled remote worker on LAN port in the IP Office

Anyone seen the no sound issue before?

Turn off Direct Media Path on the extension.

Yup, done that also.

for remote h323 you also need to configure a STUN server.

routing issue
The phone remote phone has no direct route to the office phone (only the IPO)

fix

1) correct rour routing tables so the desk ophone can comunicate directy withthe remote phone
2) if 1 not possible disable direct media path untill you work out why not & correct


Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I would - if possible - set the phone as a VPN phone. remote h323 is a PITA.
