Hi All,

I have a small business server 2003 with 15 user that use remote workplace from france and the uk

All users can login to remote workplace veiw there emails but they cannot connect to the desktops and i can't connect to the server remotley other than vpn

any idea's

Run Remote Access Wizard (Enable Remote Access, check VPN access)
Run the CEIC Wizard, Since OWA is working the only change might be to add VPN access the rest of the choices should stay the same, remember Email and VPN should be checked, remember to open port 1723 for VPN access.

Under Web Services Configuration, make sure you select the correct choices under "Allow access only to the following Web services From the Internet" for your application, then test.

That's all I got, I am certainly no expert, except to recommend that you make all changes through the wizards, period. Your clients might need to allow VPN access on their routers.

VPN access works fine that is what the users are using instead of remote work place

i will take a look and see

thanks

To clarify you're saying that users can connect to RWW but not accesss their PC's/Workstations through the traditional Remote Desktop Connection tool from the RWW site?

Also can you access workstations through a combination of VPN/Remote Desktop Connection?

If not be sure to double check the routing and remote access configuration.

Under Administrative Tools, Routing and Remote Access, Right click on your server and select properties. Under the General Tab, be sure both boxes (Router LAN Routing)(Remote Access Server) are checked.

What error messages do you receive if any?
